There are many species of bee, therefore care should taken in Identification before any plan of action undertaken, usually most colonies can simply be left to carry out their good work. Occasionally relocation will be necessary due to health and safety related concerns. With Honeybees, we work closely with local beekeepers to re-home bees to more suitable locations whenever possible.
Honey Bees have a slender body and can look wasp-like, with a pointed abdomen tip. The body is moderately hairy with brown and black striped colouring.
Bumble Bees are more broad and robust with a rounded abdomen tip. Colours vary depending on the species but will be a block colour rather than striped.
