AGGRAVATED BY ANTS
The first ants you’ll see in the house will be searching for a new food source. They are attracted by sweet items like juice drips or cake crumbs. Once these first explorers report back to the nest you’ll soon have a trail of their colleagues marching with purpose round your kitchen cleaning up anything you haven’t.
DEALING WITH ANTS
There are several species of Ant in the UK. The most common being the Garden or Black Ant live outdoors but venture indoors to forage. These varieties are generally straightforward to eradicate. Other more tropical Ant species can be found in the UK, like the Ghost, Rogers or Pharaohs Ant, which can only service inside heated buildings. These varieties can be harder to identify and deal with.

Garden Ant – 1-2mm long, dark brown/black colour.
Ghost Ant – 1.5mm long, pale legs and abdomen.
